What We Do
Over the years, FYSSO Ghana has implemented projects in Anti-Child trafficking, Agriculture and food security, microenterprise development water and sanitation and environment, good governance with emphasis on monitoring district assembly projects and involvement of women and marginalized in decision making.
FYSSO Ghana adopted a community managed microfinance (Villages Savings and Loans) model in 2009 as a means of reaching the financially excluded population mostly in the rural and peri-urban areas.
From June 2009 to December 2012, FYSSO Ghana expanded its coverage ( created over 1,000 savings groups with total membership of over 25,000 households) under the community managed microfinance model through Banking on Change project phase 1 in alliance with Plan Ghana, CARE Ghana in partnership with Barclays Bank.
The project is currently implementing youth led model with financial education and alternative business development. The organization is currently working in nine districts in Volta Region and District in Eastern Region of Ghana.
